For your G&T
In a G&T, try it with a slice of cucumber or a slice of celery for a refreshing drink on those hot sunny days England is renowned for !
Add slices of Orange or Grapefruit to bring out those sweet overtones.
Or how about these garnishes, all work really well with our Hexham:
Strawberry and black pepper - garnish with a quartered strawberry and a crack of black pepper.
Grapefruit and basil - garnish with slices of pink grapefruit and fresh basil leaves.
Chilli and coriander - garnish with red or green chillies and fresh coriander leaves.
Fog on the 'Thyme'
The signature drink of our Hexham is a delicious twist from the standard G&T. Add your ice to the glass and pour in a double measure of Hexham (life too short etc). To this, add a splash of Fentimans Victorian Cloudy Lemonade, Fevertree Sicillian Lemonade or Lemon Tonic, in the same measures of tonic that you would normally use.
Smash a sprig of Thyme in your hands, stir the drink around with it and drop it into the glass. Sit back and enjoy a Hexham 'Fog on the Thyme'. It also counts as part of your 5-a-day !
Or try making it by the jug. A good glug of Hexham, Slices of Orange and sprigs of Thyme over lots of ice, topped up with the 'fog'. It's what lazy Summer afternoons in the garden are made for.
Different Mixers
Why not try a Hexham with something just a little different.
Ginger Ale is one of our favourite serves. Add some pink peppercorns as a garnish and enjoy the warmth.
Rose Lemonade has proven to be very popular. We tried this out at Gin Festivals and they went down a storm. It makes the gin taste just like Fry's Turkish Delight !!
Try it with Soda water and a slice of Lime as a garnish - delicious and refreshing.
If you prefer flavoured Gins, try out some of the tonics on offer now such as Hibiscus, Grapefruit, Watermelon and Cucumber or Cherry Blossom.
